The Pre-game festivities for Super Bowl Sunday have already started. There is over 10 hours of talk and predictions for the game whose kick-off is slated for 6:30 pm EST/3:30 PST on Fox Network.
If you don't want to get involved with all that there is some 'special' programming on Animal Planet that begins at 3 pm EST/12 noon PST that will feature some of the most adorable pets you have ever seen. Puppy Bowl X will feature some the cutest puppies you have ever seen playing tug-of-war and chasing each other around a very small football field. An added attraction this year is Penguins will be there to cheer them on and the musical interludes will be provided by All Kitten Band.
This two-hour funfest has been a staple in our house for several years now. We will DVR the show, so when Halftime comes in the Super Bowl, we can re-watch some of our favorite moments from Puppy Bowl X instead of being bored to death by what ever entertainment they have scheduled this year.
Puppy Bowl X on Animal Planet today. Hope you enjoy it. And, go Broncos!!!

I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl, but I love the Puppy Bowl! There's also a Kitten Bowl on the Hallmark Channel, but I'm not a cat person.

We recorded both of these shows, and after watching about 10 minutes of "Kitten Bowl", our grand kids were totally bored, so we erased it. The Puppy Bowl was hilarious, and the grand kids really like it, so we will save it for this coming week. We are scheduled to get a big Snow storm here in Wichita tonight and it will last until early Wednesday morning and leave us with about a foot of snow, and the schools will probably be closed Tuesday, so they will want to watch Puppy Bowl X again.
Super Bowl was not much better. 43-8 Final score with Denver on the losing end. Congrats to the Seattle Seahawks as they win their first Super Bowl.....................now back to Puppy bowl X!!!

There was a lot more excitement and suspense in the Puppy Bowl than there was in the Super Bowl!

That's for sure, but I am not a sore loser. Congrats to Pete Carroll and his Seattle Seahawks, they were true winners, and could be the start of something big for the Northwest part of the US.

How gracious of you! A couple of days before the game, I was chatting with a grocery store cashier about who might win the Super Bowl. Off the top of my head, I said Seattle's probably going to win because they're a bunch of thugs! I was only joking, but I guess I turned out to be correct on both counts. Too bad I didn't bet on the game.

I love watching Puppy Bowl. I also watched part of the Kitten Bowl on Hallmark as I love watching kittens play but I was rooting for the puppies! LOL
