It has been brought up in another topic about how to do keyboard shortcuts and foreign language and diacritical characters. Therefore, I figured it might be best to post a couple help topics in reference to this. You can type the accented characters as in the name Reneé. Or if something costs £45 (British pound) or 29¢, you can type this too. And others, for example:Åå Ææ ß »« ¿ éè ã ä ¼½¾ There is an excellent webpage here, which gives you the various codes for inserting special characters. It also gives you instructions on how to set up a secondary keyboard layout (which I have done). Or you can also use the method of copying and pasting special characters from other locations, if all else fails! This is another excellent page for information on how to generate characters using the Alt-Shift keys, etc. If you have the International Keyboards set, you can use Alt-Ctrl-6 to display "¼". This is a very handy feature to have. And the left Alt-Shift allows you to alternate between keyboards. I have the International keyboard installed, as well as the UK English keyboard. For example, "£" is above the number 3 key where the "#" is on our keyboard, when you have the UK keyboard activated. Larry

I found a keyboard layout design if you wish to use the International Keyboard strokes: You can use the right Alt key to perform some of the characters that you see on the keyboard. For example, use the Alt-4 to display "¤". Yet, use Alt-Shift-4 to display "£".
