That is soooooo cool that your Dad helped you with that name. I bet you and he were proud that you could say your teachers name right.

Yes, and I'm sure the teacher appreciated it too. Sometimes she looked a little exasperated when the kids botched her name, but she was usually OK about it. Here I go with another OT addition, but this story is just itching to get out of my head. A year after she was my teacher, Mrs. V's teenaged son shot himself in the foot while hunting - he used crutches for awhile, but luckily it healed normally and he didn't suffer any permanent problems. A week after the local weekly newspaper printed a short story about him, there was another story about a man who accidently sat on his pistol and shot himself in the backside. I didn't know who the man was, but I wonder if he got any sympathy for his injuries - most people were laughing when they talked about it. This could be a new series - American's weirdest gun incidents? (Maybe not, it might start a round of idiots shooting themselves on purpose just to be on TV)

Ditto on the reality shows. Very few of them are worth watching. That said, my secret faves are Code Blue, Mystery Diagnosis, Bridezillas and What Not to Wear.

I like most of them. In fact, I have gotten a lot of good ideas for the new house we're building soon.

I used to like Flip That House. I'm not sure whether it is still on.

Seeing the daily schedules here in the UK, I wish that the whole lot had gone!

Reality shows have been overdone, that is for sure. I suspect this is because they are cheaper to produce than entertainment programming.

It just seems to me that hardly any programme that doesn't require people to phone in to vote somebody ot doesn't get on.
If I had my way, the whole lot of them would be voted out and have done with it!
But a lot of the shows on the previous thread that people wish hadn't been cancelled is spot on. I wish that we could still see them.

There are some reality shows that should never have been started in the first place, like Big Brother and some of the new ones that I can not think of the names of,because we do not watch them. Desperatre Housewives is another one, Now I like Criminal Minds, Numbers , all the CSI shows, Without A Trace, NCIS, Law and Orders, and the McGyver show, Quantum Leap, several of the old westerns.
