Wow, Larry, thanks for sharing the book with us.What a find! I really enjoyed the old pictures in it and the tidbits of movie history. Now we know the origin of "Gower Gulch" and the name of the actor who fired the shot into the camera! I also loved "Please Do Not Eat Peanuts and Throw the Shucks Upon the Floor."

I like the story of how Hollywood began at Mrs. Wilcox's ranch too.

I want to know "How The Porto Rican Girls Entertain Uncle Sam's Soldiers." I'll bet they even show their ankles. Hubba, hubba!

Midge, that's positively shocking! I found this book in a used bookstore when I was maybe 14, but dad wouldn't let me buy it because he thought it was too old and frayed. Ever since then I've been seeing people recommend it at silent movie sites. *Sigh*

Oh, Hedvig, I'm so sorry that your parents didn't let you buy that book! I hope you will find a copy of it someday that's in better condition.

Check eBay or Amazon.com, Hedvig! And keep checking those sites continually, because someone is always bound to have one of those for sale!
