What is your favorite Robin Williams movie?
I have listed many of his most popular films here, but I have not included any of his animated films which he did voice-overs for.

For many years, I did not like Robin Williams, because I could not stand him in the ABC television series Mork & Mindy, which aired here in the States in the late 1970s. For several years after that, I adamantly refused to watch any film that had him starring in it. Then, several years ago, during the time we lived in Oklahoma City, a friend of mine persuaded me to watch The Fisher King, much to my protests. She insisted that I would probably like that movie, for some reason. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) So I sat and watched that movie with her and ... WOW! ... I loved it! So I voted for this movie, because that is the movie which I credit for making me begin to like and have an appreciation for Robin Williams. ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) Since that time, he has become one of my favorite actors of all time and I try to watch almost everything that he stars in; in fact, I even went back and began watching many of the films prior to The Fisher King — the ones I refused to watch when I didn't like him! ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png)

I thought something seemed fishy, Jeff, because I looked in his credits after you posted that and I didn't see it. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I just read your post to TC and she said, "How dare he?!" :listen: ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Well, to be honest I have never seen one of his movies all the way through. But I have watched about half of quite a few of them. I usually have to switch channels before I yield to an overwhelming urge to kick in the TV. We can't all like the same things, I realise that he is very popular but whatever his appeal it is completely lost on me.

Robin Williams is a superb standup comedian, and I'd rather see him doing that than acting in a movie. That said, I thought he was very good in Mrs. Doubtfire and Good Morning, Vietnam.

Robin has done some wonderful work in many movies so it was hard to vote. i picked Good Morning Vietnam. prolly cuz it was the first movie i saw that had finally made me see 'Nam as it really was (or as real as the movie could make it at that time). so that alone had an impact on me. and of course there was humor even in the light of so much sadness and destruction.
i've been a Williams fan since the first episode of Mork and Mindy. really one of our truly "all around" performers. he seems to be able to do it all. i certainly find him immensely entertaining.

Oh my gosh. Asking to choose a favorite Robin Williams movie is like trying to pick a favorite snow flake. I am going to have to think a while on this one. Lets just hope my brain won't over heat!

I've never cared much for Robin Williams and haven't seen most of these movies, but I liked him best in Aladdin (and yes, I know you didn't include cartoon movies but that's my opinion, LOL!)
