TC and I went into town on Saturday to the 87th Annual Chili Cook-off, and had a great time, sampling numerous individuals' chili recipes. Later, the judges would determine who had made the best recipe. :devilish: However, we got a little added bonus at this year's cook-off. We got FREE, live entertainment by none other than Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, a 5-member ensemble which has played Zydeco music together for years — NOT to be confused with Cajun music. Although this particular YouTube video was not one that I shot personally in this location, it will give you a great sampling of some of Carrier's music. www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPPB1JvxgzYFor further information about the group and their touring dates etc, you can visit their web page at www.chubbycarrier.com/. PS — Bill, if you're reading this and would like to see them in person, they will be in Wichita on March 6 for a YWCA Fundraiser.

Larry, glad you got a chance to see Chubby Carrier. He has been at the Sedgwick County Zoo as one of the featured performers during the Summer Concert series, for the past three years and we have seen him each time. A great time is had by all, and the music is really infectious and engaging.
We do know about his appearance here in Wichita on March 6.
