We have seen quite a few of these films now. Many of them are well worth the price on their own. We saw "Gaslight" the other night. It is a favourite of mine and is just so superior to the glossy MGM remake. "The Bat" - I enjoyed the print was so crisp and again it was a very superior thriller. "DOA" - most people know this one and Herb and I watched this one afternoon. Herb was rivetted (he doesn't watch many old movies). I personally think it is one of the top 10 thrillers ever made. "Bulldog Drummond Escapes" - I think this is one of the best of the Drummond films. Heather Angel is definately not a wilting heroine - she more than holds her own. Ray Milland , I think makes a better Drummond than John Howard (in my opinion). "Shadows on the Stairs" was okay - the blurb on the pack talked about the "creatively twisted ending" - I don't know about that - I was a bit disappointed. Still Heather Angel was in it and she is fast becoming a favourite. "The Mandarin Mystery" was okay as well - Eddie Quillan played Ellery Queen and Charlotte Henry (from 1933s "Alice in Wonderland") was the girl. "Blake of Scotland Yard" was the one I least liked but 1 out of 6 is not bad. "The Limping Man", "Fear in the Night" and "A Shriek in the Night" are the ones I am really looking forward to.

"Blake of Scotland Yard" was the one I least liked but 1 out of 6 is not bad. That one was quite a farce, wasn't it?! I think I even posted a thread about it! Totally out of this world! ;D Diane, I am glad you finally got them and obviously you didn't have a difficult time obtaining them.

Ordering them wasn't a problem - I also bought "Dark Crimes 50 Movie Pack" (even tc would like these - they are mostly very old crime movies and there is also a few Studio One TV shows as well). They were delivered promptly too. The problem we thought we would have is the code. Every country has a different code number but we thought we would just buy another DVD. Well our old DVD that we bought last year for $30 showed them perfectly so we were pretty amazed.
