First of all I want all of you to forget anything negative that you have read from some of the "trusted movie critics" you read. This movie is not a 'bad' film, but there are some unexpected things in it that you will be amazed got by the censors or the ratings board.
"Cars 2" is the further adventures of our friends from Radiator Springs, just off Route 66, and what happens when they are asked to go to the World Grand Prix. All of your favorites from the first film are along for the ride, including Mater, who fancies himself as an espionage expert and gets involved with a spy ring while in Europe.
I was shocked to her dialogue like "Kill Him!" and "Kill Them!" used by the villains in this animated adventure. Never before Have I ever heard those words in a Disney film. Sure we have seen people or animals die in Disney films, but never have we heard the words "Kill Them!" uttered on screen.
The action on the film is fast and furious as they use the backdrops of Italy, England and France for the World Grand Prix. The kids all love the characters, and there is enough slapstick comedy to keep them happy, while the one-liners are there for us adults to enjoy.
My favorite part of this was the short subject that is always shown before a Pixar film, and this time it was absolutely one of the best. "Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation" is a seven-minute short that will have you holding your sides from laughter at the antics of our friends Ken, Barbie, Woody, and the rest of the Toy Story gang.
If you were hesitant before, don't stop now, go and see this amazingly entertaining movie. "Cars 2" is a must-see on every Disney-lover's list.
On the Junkie Meter it rates a very good 4 out of 5 stars.
