A New York writer, whom I am very proud to call my friend, has written two books that are essential to anyone who is interested and/or fascinated with the Oscars. The first, over 1200 pages, covers the Oscar celebrations, and the leadups to them for each year, beginning in 1928, and covers every year exhaustively to 1994. It is informative, and detailed, and Bona can be very amusing. The second, covers 1995-2000, at over 400 pages, is equally good
The books are: Inside Oscar, by Damien Bona and Mason Wiley. The second is Inside Oscar 2. by Bona only. They are available on amazon.com and other sites. Great reading!
