I tend to see several "kid" films due to taking Kaitlyn to them. This was our most recent film (a few weeks ago) The audience was filled with kids of all ages and everyone enjoyed it.
Mr. Popper (played by Jim Carrey) is a man whose dad was never around when he was a child. As an adult, his focus is on his career which had led to his divorce and separation from his own children who don't really want to spend much time with him. His dad sends him several penguins as a gift. The main point of the story is how the penguins help him make a connection with his children. There are many laugh out loud moments and a few that'll bring a tear to your eyes. I don't really want to say too much because I wouldn't want to ruin it for anyone.
I definitely recommend it, it's a family film. All ages can watch it together without any embarrassment or concerns.

I am such a Jim Carrey "hater" that I had to literally be dragged kicking and screaming to see this movie. And the great thing was, when it was all over, I really liked it. I will second what Kimmer said, I won't spoil anything for you about the movie except that I really liked Jim Carrey's performance in this film, and this is truly a remarkable, family film that should be seen by all ages.
