Yes thanks also from me, kelli. I won't get to see the documentary but I really enjoyed the article. I also love Joan Crawford - it is so nice to read about people that have nice things to say about her. I never knew that story about Jack Oakie - he always struck me as a nice guy.

Thanks for posting that link, Kelly. I finally had time to sit and read it this morning. It mentioned one or two aspects of her life that I hadn't even known.

There is a new book coming out, it's by Charlotte Chandler.
I saw an interview this weekend with Joan's daughter, Cathy, her daughter and granddaughter. Cathy and her daughter (Carla) had only nice things to say about Joan. The interviewer mentioned the differences in Cathy's and Christina's viewpoints and Cathy said that she could only comment about the mom that she knew, but she spoke very well of Joan. So did Carla.
They'd asked Christina for an interview, but she declined. She did release a statement saying that an updated version of her book would be released and that she intended to re-release it for each generation.

I also remember how disgusted Bette Davis was with Christina's book. She wasn't worried about that happening with her kids and then...look what happened. Her daughter B.D. did the same thing. The only difference was that B.D. did it while Bette was alive and could respond.

I never read the book, but i remember that movie from the 80s. That movie was quite unpleasant. It's disturbing if those things that they show in the movie actually happened, or was it just drama for the movie.

What I hear it really dramatic some of it for real like aka Joan Crawford going don't ***** with me fellows she actually said it to the Pepsi board
Faye Dunaway she made Joan Crawford clown I THINK SO

Even Faye Dunaway reportedly doesn't like to be reminded about this movie. It really did turn Joan Crawford into a cartoon.
