For those of you who may not have noticed, there have been a few subtle forum alterations made today.
1) The "page jumping" issue appears to have been resolved. I removed the "Tweet" and "Like" buttons as well as numerous old, ancient, obsolete codes from the Diner, which haven't been used in quite some time. In and amongst those changes, the "page jumping" issue got fixed.
2) I've changed the appearance of the top of the page. Now the most recent topics you have participated in is at the top of each page, giving you quick and ready access to these topics and threads. Your PMs have been reverted back to the old format, indicating "you have xx messages".
3) Behind the scenes: I have enabled "Tynt" at the Diner. What is "Tynt"? It tracks user engagement on a website by tracking copy and paste activity and automatically adds a link back to your content when it is pasted somewhere else. What does this mean for us? When someone copies and pastes text from Larry's 66 Diner, Tynt automatically adds a link back to the original article with the paste. When the recipient clicks that URL, they are directed back to the original content (here at the Diner). Perhaps this can help boost traffic here at Larry's 66 Diner.

4) For the past 6 years since it's inception, the forum URL for Larry's 66 Diner has been lwsroute66.proboards.com/ which consisted of my initials "lws" followed by one of my favorite obsessions, Route 66, which of course was the original foundation for this forum. Since the Route 66 area of the forum has long-since vanished, there simply was no point in keeping the original board's URL. Effective today, the new forum URL is larrys66diner.proboards.com. PLEASE NOTE: For the past 5 of those 6 years, I have annually purchased the domain name of www.larrys66diner.com/ which, is simply a re-direct URL, linking back to the URL owned by Proboards. As for now, I have no plans on eliminating the re-direct URL. IMPORTANT: The original URL (with my initials) will remain effective for another couple of weeks, but after that, it will no longer be valid. So please be sure to update your Bookmarks or Favorites with the new URL, or your browser will navigate you to an invalid location on the web, that is, a page which no longer exists.
The new Version 5 of Proboards is slated to be released later this year, so I'm getting things geared up here in anticipation of the new Proboards forum design. I am a Beta Tester for the new Version 5 and have seen many of the new changes which are taking place, and I'm sure that most of you will be just as pleased as I am once they are implemented!
