Finally went to the theater tonight to see this movie! ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) WOW!!!! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) What a movie!!!! Talk about a horror movie! But it also has an actual storyline behind it! Most horror movies these days just have a bunch of nudity, sex scenes and killing! This one had NO nudity. It had a sexual-related storyline, however, there was no nudity. Nonetheless, it's definitely not one your kids should see! ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) Larry

I want to see An American Haunting, but I have a rule. I will only watch haunting movies at home where I can have a pillow to grab. I love horror movies but the haunting ones tend to bug me a little. I seldom go to the theaters to see them. Did you know that this is the only documented haunting was reported as the cause of a death. They have talked about the Bell witch haunting, that this movie is based on, on several paranormal programs.

It is a well written and directed movie and the effects were good. I just wonder who came up with the idea of the reason the haunting took place. Was is fabricated for effect or from something written by one of the people there during the events they used to make this movie?
