Yes. I just finished for the second time Beyond The Garage by Sean Bonniwell. It is a powerful autobiography about his trials and tribulations in the 60's garage band world and how he was lead to his Christian beliefs through all of it. Wonderful incite to the man and his love of music. Sean is a very close personal friend of mine and I was anxious to read this book. Good reading.

Charlie's Angels 2 - Full Throttle (at least I think that was the last one we bought)
What was the last music album (any format) you purchased?

The soundtrack for Walt Disney's "Tangled" was the most recent music purchase. For some reason the music is just beautiful and I wanted to be able to play it in the car.
Do you have a favorite recording artist that you collect?

No one in particular - there are a few artists I have more than one album for, but can't say which I like best. Depends on what kind of music I want at the time. Do you have any TV series on DVD or video?

Yes. In my collection I have the complete series of "24", "Highlander", "NCIS", "Army Wives", "Burn Notice" and my favorite television series from the early 1960's "Whispering Smith" starring Audie Murphy and Guy Mitchell. I have several others, but it would take too long to list them all. "NCIS" is still on the air as well as "Army Wives" and "Burn Notice". Beverly also has the complete 8 seasons of "Walker, Texas Ranger" with Chuck Norris.
Do you have any favorite television shows on DVD?

Yes, I have season 1 of Highway to Heaven - it was a Christmas gift a few years ago.
Do you have a favorite "oldie" TV show currently on the air that you watch regularly?

Yes. We watch "Golden Girls" on TV Land.
What do you remember most as a child when your family got their first television?

|
Post by annavandenhazel on Apr 25, 2011 10:01:08 GMT -6
I don't remember ever NOT having a television, but I remember Hanna-Barbera cartoons, "I Dream of Jeannie", and "Bewitched" as the most-watched programs in my early years. Later I enjoyed "Batman" and "That Girl", which were on the same night, and got confused when they added "Bat Girl" to the former - I didn't understand that the latter program's title wasn't the girl's name, LOL!)

Anna, do you have a question for the next person? Apparently I didn't have one yesterday. Do you like to visit the mountains?
|
|

Post by dvdjunkie on Apr 27, 2011 14:12:39 GMT -6
Yes I do, but the closest mountains to our flat state are in Missouri, so when we go to Branson, we are in the mountains.

Do you have any interest in the royal wedding?

None whatever. Friday while on the broo-ha-ha is going on we will be watching a good movie or three. Don't understand why everyone gets all up for what is just another wedding. What will you be doing to avoid "the wedding" coverage?
|
|
|
Post by annavandenhazel on Apr 28, 2011 10:36:11 GMT -6
Nothing really - I don't care one way or the other about it and I'm more offended by the nasty stuff people say about the bride and groom than any of the coverage (let them get married, ignore it if you don't care), but I hardly ever watch TV - if it does come on, it will most likely be my husband watching some kind of sports. What is the worst thing you remember about your own wedding (something always goes wrong)?
|
|
|
Post by Midge on Apr 29, 2011 2:53:24 GMT -6
The worst thing was that my dad died unexpectedly on the morning we were planning to get married. It was just the two of us eloping to Nevada and not a formal wedding so we were able to postpone it until the following week, but even so my wedding memories are decidedly bittersweet.

On December 14, 1990, the day before I turned 42, my brother died of liver disease after a long struggle with alcoholism. That was the saddest birthday of my life. What was the nicest wedding you ever attended?

It's difficult to say as I have only been to three weddings and two of those were mine. Do you like white chocolate?

No, not particularly, it's too sweet. As far as I'm concerned, the only real chocolate is chocolate. Do you like yogurt?

Post by dvdjunkie on May 25, 2011 18:03:58 GMT -6
Yes, as long as their fruit in it or fruit near by to eat with it. Plain old yogurt and I don't get along very well.
Do you like fruit drinks like Smoothies?

No, but I really love dogs and would like to have one. What is your favorite scent? (I don't mean chocolate or new-mown hay, but the type that comes in a bottle.

I don't know - there are too many I like. What is your favorite kind of candy?
|
|
|
Post by Midge on Jun 2, 2011 18:00:02 GMT -6
That's hard to answer because I never met any candy that I didn't like. I guess I'd have to say milk chocolate, especially the silky-smooth type like Dove Promises, Symphony bars or Ghirardelli. I like this question. So . . .what is your favorite candy?
