Not really - just Christmas decorations, and we don't do much besides a tree ,like we used to before Timmy passed away (I can't get the boxes down myself and Scott keeps making excuses not to).
Do you decorate for Halloween?

Yes, not much but I have a little stuffed scarecrow, some gourds and some Indian corn for the dining room table. Do you ever have problems with your internet connection (like the one I've been having -- all -- day? )

All the time, although it's improved since we switched from Qwest/CenturyLink to Comcast Xfinity last Friday.
Do you curse at your computer when it acts up?

Post by Midge on Sept 19, 2011 16:08:02 GMT -6
No, my computer is fine. I curse at Comcast Xfinity because we have outages every day. Are you having an Indian summer?

No, my computer is fine. I curse at Comcast Xfinity because we have outages every day. Uh oh, maybe that wasn't what I needed to hear since we've only had Xfinity for 4 days...

In answer to the question - I've never been quite sure what Indian summer is, but if it means still having good weather then yes.
Do you like to rake leaves?

No, I can think of a lot of things I'd rather be doing. Did you ever cut class?
Post by annavandenhazel on Sept 20, 2011 10:51:00 GMT -6
Nope, I didn't have any bad habits like smoking or substance abuse, and it was a long walk to the business district, so I wouldn't have had anything to do!
Did you ever get sent to the principal's office in school?
Post by Midge on Sept 20, 2011 16:16:43 GMT -6
No, but I got detention once for being late to class without a tardy slip. A girl in my class who worked in the office offered to take my name off the detention list, and then she didn't do it. Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do?

Yes, but too many incidents to list here.
Have you ever received credit (the good kind) for something you didn't do?
Post by Midge on Sept 21, 2011 0:18:59 GMT -6
Yes, but I always made sure the right person got the credit.
What did you have for dinner last night?

corn dogs
What did you have for breakfast today?

Post by Midge on Sept 21, 2011 11:03:15 GMT -6
I haven't had breakfast yet, but I'm probably going to to cook some Irish oatmeal.
Do you have an electric or gas stove (cooker)?
Post by annavandenhazel on Sept 21, 2011 15:59:44 GMT -6
Electric stove - had a gas stove at our previous place and the darn thing made me nervous (especially after a heat flare-up in the oven shortened my eyelashes).
Where is the freezer located in your refrigerator?
Post by Midge on Sept 21, 2011 16:25:53 GMT -6
The freezer's on the left side (it's a side-by-side model). Love it, but the narrow size limits how wide the items can be. Pizza boxes don't fit! What movie do you wish was available on DVD?

Although I know it will eventually be release, I wish The Help was already available on DVD.
Are you glad that Autumn has already set in upon us?

Yes, because autumn is the nicest time of year for weather here.
Are you doing anything fun this weekend?

Not really - sleeping, folding laundry, and whatever else I might have energy for around the house.
Do you have a fall vacation planned?

Right this minute? I'm wearing jeans, a long sleeved print top and a cardigan sweater, but very shortly I'll be in my jammies. How is your day going?

Very slowly, but at least I'm awake. Had a misunderstanding with a friend that resulted in 41 straight hours of no sleep (counting the "awake" hours before the incident, of course), took a long Nyquil-induced nap on Saturday but still have a ways to go...
What do you have planned for today?
Post by Midge on Sept 27, 2011 14:18:20 GMT -6
Aahh, Nyquil! It tastes awful, but it does let you sleep. Let's see . . . I have no plans for today except to get a little housework done, and then we're going out for Italian food.
Are you having nice weather today?

Yes, and I hope it lasts through the weekend since we're going out to Ely for a train ride.
Do you still have your air conditioning on?
Post by Midge on Sept 27, 2011 18:52:19 GMT -6
No, because we don't have air conditioning.
Have you ever taken an overnight train ride?

Do you like window shopping?

The Mary Elizabeth Inn (a residence for young women) in San Francisco. For $19 a week, I got a tiny room with a window that faced a cement wall and two meals a day (except no Saturday dinner and no meals on Sunday).
Who was your first boyfriend or girlfriend?

His name was Rob Miller and he turned out to be a complete jerk. Probably the worst person I ever dated.
How many brothers and sisters do you have?
