No, it's almost 3 in the morning, so I'm in my jammies.

Orange t-shirt and khaki shorts.......I'm going to play miniature golf with my son-in-law and 6 year old grandson.


What are you doing today that could be construed by some as a form of exercise?

Getting out of bed (seriously, I feel sick today and probably shouldn't be here).

Do you usually eat breakfast on Sundays?

Yes, Sunday and every day, I always eat breakfast.

How often do you get your hair cut?

Not that often as there isn't so much of it now.

Have you ever had brightly coloured hair?

[Midge]

No, I'm content to be boring.

When is the last time you dressed up in a costume, i.e. Halloween or fancy dress?

When I was in school.

Do you ever have your nails professionally manicured?

Nope, I'm better off with my short home-trimmed nails.

Have you ever had a pedicure?

[Midge]

No, only the ones I've given to myself.

What color is your car?

[annavandenhazel]

The new one is silver, old one is cream-colored

What color is your house (or apartment/condo bldg)

[Midge]

Malibu Beige (a light sand color) with white trim. The color appeared darker on the swatch than it looked on the house, which was a problem because when the job was finished, we realized that we'd picked the exact same color as our next-door neighbors! Oops.

Have you ever ridden a horse?

3 times, but it's been more than 35 years. The first time I was 4 or 5 and my older cousin Mollie took me for a ride to buy soda pop at a country store, the other 2 times I was technically riding by myself, but it was at a fair - all the horses were attached to a rotating contraption (I have no idea what it's actually called), and led by people on the ground.

Have you ever ridden any other kind of animal?

No, only horses, and that was ages ago.

If you could go back in time and change one thing about your life, what would it be?

Can't think of anything I would change. Life is how we learn how to live and cope with different things. Naw, I wouldn't change a thing!!

What was your most favorite age in your lifetime so far?

[annavandenhazel]

Probably 16 or 17, when school was actually fun and I didn't have to be an adult yet.

What was your least favorite age so far?

[dvdjunkie]

I hated being '40'. For some reason that was a very traumatic year in my life and I never want to go through that again. Now that I am '70' I look back on it and it wasn't so bad, after all, but I wouldn't want to ever be '40' again.


What was the color of the first car you ever owned?

2-tone, the top was rust and the bottom was beige.

Do you own a pickup?

[Midge]

No, but there have been times when I wished I could borrow one.

Did you have a pedal car when you were small?

I certainly did and it was very smart too.

Are you good at roller skating?

[annavandenhazel]

I've only been persuaded to try it once or twice, and as with swimming I could never get away from the edge of the rink, so no.

Have you ever been ice skating?

I haven't been ice skating since I was around 10 years old, or even possibly younger.

Are you a movie junkie such as ?

Not really - I own a few movies but they don't get watched very often.

Do you like Elvis movies?

[Midge]

I like some of them.

Have you seen all the Star Wars movies?

[annavandenhazel]

Not quite - I've seen all of the original trilogy now known as episodes 4-6, and all of episode 2, but have only seen pieces of 1 and 3. We do own them all on video or DVD, but no one tells me when they start watching one of those movies, and then I enter the room after it's been going for awhile, watch for maybe 5 minutes, and go back to whatever I was doing. The only reason I've seen 2 all the way through is because we actually went to the theatre for that one, so I had no choice but to pay attention.

Do you subscribe to a movie service such as Netflix or Blu-Ray?

No, I don't subscribe to anything of that nature.

What is your favorite season of the year?

Hard to say - they all have their good points. It's a toss-up between fall and spring because they're not extremely hot or cold.

What is your favorite month?

[Midge]

October is my favorite month because I love pumpkin pies, Halloween and the colors of autumn leaves.

What is your least favorite time of year?

[annavandenhazel]

August - I can't handle the extreme heat. However, since my mother-in-law drafted my husband's brothers to fix our window-mounted air conditioner last year, it hasn't been quite so bad.

Do you like to decorate for fall?

No that isn't a tradition over here.
