Yes!! Right now I am munching on some oven-fresh Cinnamon roll-minis that just came out of the oven. I really like these a lot, and I have six of them to nibble at for the next few minutes.

Cox Communication is what we have had for the past 12 years and I can't say enough good things about them. We have Hi-Def services, internet, and telephone, all bundled through Cox Communications. If you don't know, that means cable.

It is going to be very hot today. Our overnight low was 68 degrees, and they are calling for temps to get up in the middle 90's today and tomorrow. We also will have a pretty good breeze out of the south/southwest to make it feel a little cooler, not much though.

Yes, and very proudly. I was a member of the US Army from 1960 until 1965. I served with the American Forces Radio & Television Service and was stationed in Paris, France. I was a disc jockey for the US Army Radio station that was headquartered in the Avenue George V Hotel, downtown Paris.

Did you do anything fun last weekend?

|
Post by dvdjunkie on May 31, 2012 12:45:57 GMT -6
For me it was fun. It was a big racing day on television Sunday with Grand Prix of Monaco, The Indianapolis 500, and then the Coca Cola 600, all starting at 6:am. I didn't get up at that time, I slept in til about 10 a.m. and then I could watch the races and fast forward through the commercials. I love doing that.

Do you (or did you) have a favorite aunt or uncle?

|
|
Post by dvdjunkie on Jun 4, 2012 11:33:46 GMT -6
From my childhood I still remember my Aunt Velma and Uncle Payson Marsh. He is the one who perfected the shoelace for shoes. Marsh shoelaces were found in almost every retail sales outlet in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. My Uncle Payson was a pretty cool man, he used to take me up to his cabin in the mountains above Redlands, California during the summer. My Aunt Velma was the best cook I ever ran across in my life. She believed in doing everything from scratch. Her Buttermilk waffles were to die for, and she also made her own maple syrup. Memories I will have forever.
Let's continue, Do you (or did you) have a favorite Aunt or Uncle?

Post by Midge on Jun 4, 2012 20:15:38 GMT -6
Yes, I was especially fond of my Aunt Margaret, for whom I was named. I still remember one afternoon I spent at her house when I was nine. She taught me how to bake peanut butter cookies. To this day, I always think of her whenever I bake them. I had been living as a latchkey kid with no mother to look after me, so Aunt Margaret's warmth and kindness toward me meant more than I can ever express.
What's the best job you ever had?

Worked for a Limousine company in Los Angeles for seven years, and my clients ranged from Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward to Frank Gorshin. I didn't know that this company I worked for was exclusive to the Beverly Hills and North Hollywood and Brentwood area. It was probably the best seven years of my life. Lots of great memories to share about some of my special guests in the Limo. ;D ;D
