Absent minded? No not me. I was supposed to do something now. OH, I know. Have you recently been on a bus journey?

Post by Midge on Nov 11, 2012 19:45:47 GMT -6
No, I haven't ridden on a bus in at least a year, probably longer.

Yes, I have visited Montreal, Quebec; Vancouver and Victoria, B.C. It's a beautiful, scenic country with some very nice people.
Do you own any item of clothing that is bright red?

No I don't, I never really felt any desire to walk about looking like an extra from "The Day the Earth Turned DayGlo." Do you have a pair of hiking boots?

No I don't, I never really felt any desire to walk about looking like an extra from "The Day the Earth Turned DayGlo." That's funny, Jeff. Yes, I have a pair of lightweight hiking boots. What kinds of computer games do you like?

Yes, I listened to some news radio today, but mostly I was listening to holiday music on our cable system's Music On Demand audio channels.

No one program, in particular, but I watch a lot of local news broadcasts so I guess those are my favorite.
What is your favorite beverage?
Post by Roger Thornhill on Nov 23, 2012 20:20:22 GMT -6
Hmmm, that's a difficult question because I have quite a few favourites. If I had to pick just one I would probably say Diet Coke/Diet Pepsi. (It's a dead-heat for first place.)
What is your favourite way of cooking potatoes?
Post by Midge on Nov 23, 2012 20:33:30 GMT -6
That's another difficult question because I love so many potato recipes. My favorite is Crispy Spiced Potatoes, which I posted here at the Diner.

Usually around December 10th.
Will you be having a real tree this Christmas?
Post by Midge on Nov 27, 2012 18:46:44 GMT -6
Yes, I don't care for the artificial ones because they don't have that wonderful warm balsamic fragrance that takes me back to the Christmases of my childhood.
What type of tree will you have?
Post by Roger Thornhill on Nov 29, 2012 19:03:13 GMT -6
The Christmas tree here will be artificial and, sadly, it will be free of balsamic fragrances but to make up for that the floor will be free of pine needles. Are you expecting Christmas carol singers to visit your home?
Post by Midge on Nov 29, 2012 20:04:21 GMT -6
No, that's not a tradition in my part of the world.
Will you have carolers where you are, and if so, do you offer them anything such as homebaked goodies or hot cider?

Post by Roger Thornhill on Dec 4, 2012 20:18:50 GMT -6
We do have carol singers and I feel sure that I will find something to give to them.
Have you written all your Christmas cards yet?

Have you written all your Christmas cards yet? Get real! Not a chance. I haven't even written one yet. Has your temperature gone below freezing yet?
Post by Roger Thornhill on Dec 9, 2012 19:31:12 GMT -6
Yes but only a few times, the weather is set to become much colder this week.
Are you going to have a white christmas?
Post by Midge on Dec 11, 2012 18:57:31 GMT -6
No, that would be a Christmas miracle as snow in San Francisco is an extremely rare event. Even if we do have a tiny bit of snowfall, it never lasts more than a few minutes at most and never sticks to the ground.
Do you get very much snow where you live?
Post by Roger Thornhill on Dec 20, 2012 20:34:06 GMT -6
We have had snow a few times in recent years but not as much as other areas of the UK.
Have you finished all your Christmas shopping?
Post by Midge on Dec 20, 2012 20:39:03 GMT -6
Yes, I think I'm pretty much done.
How many Christmas cards have you received so far?
