My new favorite breakfast cereal - General Mills' Cheerios Medley. With a couple pieces of toast and a small glass of milk, my breakfast is complete.

I usually have cereal with milk and banana slices, a glass of low-sodium V-8 and decaf with milk. Once a week we go out to Chloe's, a breakfast cafe that has phenomenal pancakes.

I have seen a colorized Shirley Temple movie, but not the others you mentioned. I don't even want to imagine Casablanca in color. Bleahh!

"Some" is an understatement! I am an extreme night owl.
Have you ever been in a cast or had to use crutches or a cane?
Post by dvdjunkie on Apr 24, 2013 5:56:20 GMT -6
Only once in my life. I had a cast on my left arm (I am left-handed) for about four weeks when I broke my elbow at the joint.

Oh, another lefty! So am I, and so is Al.
Yes, I've embarrassed myself that way, and by walking into a plate glass window, too.
Did you have any sunshine today?
Post by dvdjunkie on Apr 25, 2013 7:31:09 GMT -6
Yes. After three days of brutal 'winter weather', including 1 1/2 inches of snow, and night time temperatures in the single digits and high temperatures just barely above freezing, yesterday (Wednesday) we saw the sun and our day time high was 62. Only in Kansas. Like we say - 'if you don't like the weather today, think about tomorrow'!!!

If you could live in any decade in history, which one would you go back to and why?
Post by dvdjunkie on Apr 29, 2013 6:29:14 GMT -6
The 60's. I'd like to go back and redo all the wrongs I did concerning my parents. I was a pretty hard kid to keep under control, and now that I am older, I think I could do better.
If you could have one wish granted today - what would it be?
Post by Midge on Apr 29, 2013 16:36:18 GMT -6
(Gosh, Bill, that makes two of us.)
My wish would be to enjoy good health for the rest of my life and to die peacefully in my sleep of old age.
What was the best thing that your parents did for you?
Post by dvdjunkie on May 2, 2013 8:05:20 GMT -6
They never held grudges. I never once heard them say "Remember last week when you did" so and so. They raised me along with my other brothers and sisters that once you have faced the consequences of your deeds, then it was all over and never mentioned again. I have tried to raise my kids that way and my grand children also.
I like this question:
What was the best thing that your parents ever did for you?
Post by Midge on May 2, 2013 18:19:43 GMT -6
Oh no, I have to answer the question! My parents divorced when I was very young, then fought bitterly in court for years afterward over custody. As a result I had a tumultuous, unstable childhood and a lot of bad memories, so I haven't got much grateful for. However I do appreciate that my father exposed me to classical music, which I still love. My mother came from a large, loving family with lots of aunts, uncles and cousins, and I am grateful that because of them, I got to experience what normal families were supposed to be like.
Are you having unusual weather?
Post by dvdjunkie on May 3, 2013 14:16:48 GMT -6
Oh Yes!!! After three days in the 80's, the high temps for Wednesday, Thursday were in the upper 30s and lower 40s, and we had rain mixed with snow, and in some parts of Kansas they had over 3 inches of snow. (Wait a minute, this is May 1st we are talking about!!) Today, Friday, it is crystal clear, but rain clouds are coming this evneing, and the high temperature today has been in the upper 50s.
How about you, is your weather consistent with the time of the year?
Post by Midge on May 3, 2013 15:40:50 GMT -6
It's been a lot warmer than usual. It's 81º this afternoon, and yesterday we had a high of 88º. Normally our highs would be in the 60s at this time of year.
What size is your biggest TV screen?

In the new home we now have a Vizio 65" 3-D Smart HDTV in the living room. Bev and I still have our 50" inch in my "Man Cave".
Do you snack often when watching a movie or special show on television?

I try not to snack at all, but sometimes I have some chocolate or a few Coffee Rios (a coffee and cream flavored caramel that I'm addicted to).
What is your favorite TV snack?
Post by dvdjunkie on May 5, 2013 8:24:50 GMT -6
Home-made popcorn, not that Orville Redenbacher stuff. We have a special 'Popcorn Pan' that we have used for only popcorn for the last 15 years or more. It makes the best popcorn, and then a little cheddar-flavored salt (very little, too much can ruin it) and we are ready for our movie of the night.
Do you ever watch Food Network or Cooking Channel?
Post by Midge on May 5, 2013 17:19:55 GMT -6
Occasionally, but not often. The funny thing is that Al loves to watch those cooking shows -- but he doesn't cook. When I watch them, all I can think is that the celebrity chef has assistants to do all the real work, like chopping, measuring and cleaning up. Those TV shows make it all look so easy.
What are some of your favorite reality shows?
Post by dvdjunkie on May 6, 2013 19:22:03 GMT -6
On HGTV I love "Property Brothers", "Income Property", "Hawaii Life", "My Yard Went Disney", "Property Virgins" and on Food Network we watch "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives", "Iron Chef America", "Chopped", "Giving You The Business", "10-Dollar Dinners", "Mystery Diners", "Restaurant Impossible", and "Restaurant Stakeout". That's just two channels and we have over 200 on our basic cable system. And we manage to find time to watch a few movies each week.
Do you have a favorite Network television series?

Post by dvdjunkie on May 9, 2013 10:08:45 GMT -6
About three years ago I had a severe lower back pain and we went to Emergency at two a.m. After finally seeing a doctor and finding out it was a kidney stone and I was given medicine to help break it up to pass it, we got home at 6:30 a.m., just in time for the first of the grandkids to be dropped off.
Have you ever ridden in the side car of a motorcycle?
