On my 21st Birthday I was treated to a 'front seat ride' in a Tucker. This was the car that the headlights turned with the steering wheel. It was a very luxurious car to ride in. I remember it like yesterday.

My son-in-law is going to fire up the grill and we are having Bev's and Traci's favorite - Flat Iron Steaks and roasted corn on the cob with a homemade potato salad on the side. The grand kids will also have the steak, but they will get a special jello treat for dessert.

Are you a night owl or a morning person?
Post by dvdjunkie on May 12, 2013 7:54:49 GMT -6
Can I be both. Friday and Saturday nights I am usually up until two or three in the morning, but during the school year I have to go to bed early because of my morning responsibilities of getting the grand kids taken to school. When summer vacation gets here, and that is May 17 (next week) my responsibilities are relieved until the last week in August and I, again, can stay up as late as I want. So I guess I am a night owl at heart, but during the school year, I have to also be a morning person.

"Diners, Drive-In's & Dives - Under The Hood" last night on Food Network. It was an hour-long 'blooper' show and I have recorded it to watch again. It was hilarious, and I want to see if I missed anything while I was rolling on the floor laughing.

What did you do last weekend?

Post by dvdjunkie on May 21, 2013 7:19:18 GMT -6
Because of the inclement weather and threats of tornados, we didn't do much but keep an eye on the storm report and listen for the sirens, so we basically got out some board games that the grand kids can play and a family fun day. And I did watch a lot of movies, including two of my favorites "The Crimson Pirate" with Burt Lancaster, and "Two Years Before The Mast" starring Alan Ladd.
What are you doing for this Memorial Day Weekend?

What is your favorite entree to order at a restaurant?
Post by dvdjunkie on May 23, 2013 7:38:04 GMT -6
The Specialty of the house. If it is a Steak House, then their featured steak, if it's a Seafood Restaurant, then it's the catch of the day. I never go to a restaurant that specializes in a certain thing and try to change the menu. I find it very embarrassing when I hear people asking for a 'steak' and a restaurant that specializes in chicken.
Would you go to The Waffle House and try to order pancakes?

No, I wouldn't do that. I think it's best to stick with what the restaurant does well.

A cowboy!! I never missed an episode of Hopalong Cassidy on television, nor The Lone Ranger. I wanted to grow up, have a nice, white horse, and be a respected lawman.
I like this question:

I wanted to be an artist. As a young child, I loved to draw and paint and even had my own personal "comic strip" with a cast of recurring characters. Mom had to buy rolls of plain shelf paper to keep up with me, I was so prolific. Nowadays my painting is confined to kitchen cabinets.
